EF lenses

I’ve recently acquired a Canon RP and I’m eyeing up adding to my one and only lens.
I am working at a budget so nothing that will break the bank but can be affordable.
I like primes however just wondering people’s thoughts on primes over Standard zooms?
Ideally I’m looking at f/2.8, I’m currently eyeing up the Canon EF 20mm, 28mm primes. Any other suggestions?

Hi,
I'm a prime user too and the entry level Canon primes are great. I've owned an 28, 50, 85 and 100 and they all produce nice images.

I have the R and only really use zooms (ef 24-70 ii f2.8 and 70-200 ii f2.8)

They are big and quite heavy so am thinking about getting the 24-105 f4 for holiday use along side the rf35mm prime for night/indoor shots as it is a bit wider than the 50 and still f1.8.

I know it is not an ef lens but is not that expensive but seems to be good quality for the money.
