Editing: wait or straight away?

I've just been on the north east coast of Ireland for a week, Giants causeway, beaches and waterfalls. I didn't edit while away and now don't know if I should do a bit at a time or just work straight through. Just wondering if people had any thoughts on what's best.
 
I personally would do a bit at a time, half the pleasure to me is the editing of the shots, don't rush it.
 
I'm trying to go slow as I feel I might rush and miss something but normally I do it the day of the shoot or very soon after so having a week of untouched shooting is weird to me.
 
Depends how many you've got to process I would think. I tend to process up to a point where I get bored, then start afresh the next night when the enthusiasm returns.
 
As there is no client waiting, go for it at your leisure.

In such cases I usually do a first run through within 24 hours of being back at the computer though. I might do a second run a week later.
 
First develop your film... wait for it to dry. Make a contact print of the negs - go through the sheet with a loupe, make up your mind which will make good prints. Go into the darkroom and spend a couple of days producing masterpieces!

Was going to take some film but have never processed my own, next time maybe...
 
I always edit straight away, but give it a day or two before a second run at it.

Always see things differently a couple days later.
 
I've often revisited shots and felt different about them down the line.

I used to edit straight away but I've left it a while and just focussed on the shooting the last month or so. As good as this has been, it feels a little overwhelming now what I have to go through.
 
Well, my choice was made for me, the wife needed the computer so day off it is
 
Just stating the obvious, but make sure you back up your images, then edit at your leisure.
 
Edit or post production? Editing is the process of sorting through everything you shot to decide what you're going to keep or not. Post production/processing is what you then do with those images.

I'd edit as soon as you can, while memories are fresh in your mind, as it helps you decide if your images have captures what you intended.

I'd do the processing whenever you want. What were you planning to do with them any way? Beyond white balance, tweaking the histogram, and a bit of selective RGB curves, I don't really do much, so I'd probably just get on with it.
