editing style

Not sure what you mean - what 'style' is it? What do you see that distinguishes the processing from other 'styles'?

Also do you mean 'full' photoshop or photoshop elements?

(Not sure I'll be able to help even if you clarify on these, but the answers might help others.)

I'm with Chris here, what style do you mean?

Strong colours, very enhanced feature.
I'm using Photoshop cs4

If it were PSE 11 then it might be enhanced contrast and clarity (processing in RAW). But others more expert than me will have more informed comments.

If I use the 'vivid' setting on my Nikon they look like this straight out of camera. As Phil says just contrast and vibrance

Ok thanks. I'm a total amateur when it comes to photoshop ( do football )
I did a few snaps at a wedding and wondered how to get this effect

Most of what's going on in that shot came out of the camera. If you post one of your 'before' shots, someone might be able to help you with some processing tips.

I suppose we also should point out that it's against the rules to post someone else's pictures. It's ok to link though....

(Don't ask me how it makes a difference?)

It's a photo of me, at my wedding and have purchased this image and can do as I please. I am aware of the rules

It isn't my image so I wouldn't have the before shot. And if I did then I'd have put them up.

I was asking for one of your before shots, so that we can see your starting point to offer help. Sorry I thought it was obvious (which it would be if you understand that I didn't know the shot you posted was 'yours').

Agree, not much done here and looks like pretty straight forward tweaking of vibrance and contrast. Needs straightening.

And to clarify... You purchased the copyright to the image, not just a digital copy of the image?

That's right , I dragged a few off a pass worded website. But I do have the full images and the rights
Thanks for the help

I will add that if you boost contrast and vibrancy by a lot across the whole image it tends to give very unnatural skin tones. To achieve similar results to your posted image simply use flash for the subjects and put the cameras white balance to its flash setting, this warms up the background and boosts autumn colours whilst keeping the subject correct.
