Editing software

Hello all

Can anyone give me any advise on good photo editing software, I am a beginner, and have had a reasonably succesfull weekend with my new Sony A200 and 18/200 lens although i had light issues at extended zoom, earlly evening and cloudy in the New Forest I am shooting in the RAW mode but find the sony sofware a bit limited and would like to get more from the pc editing process.

If you are looking for FREE software then you cant go far wrong by downloading GIMP or Picasa. Give them a try.

The latest version of Photoshop Elements is a good buy. Considering the difference between the full version of Photoshop and Elements, Elements represent real value for money.

I second PS Elements. It's very capable, good value, and also serves as an intro to the full version of Photoshop if you ever decide to upgrade. GIMP is excellent but has a much steeper learning curve.
