when you edit a RAW from LR in PS and it is converted to a tiff, does it reduce the IQ at all

and particularly if you edit a tiff from LR in PS does that reduce the IQ ......... especially when the process is done a number of times

AFAIK unlike jpeg where multiple saves are destructive a TIFF being worked on and saved is non destructive so a good format especially where you can work in 16bit vs 8bit, only saving in 8bit when converting to jpeg.

HTH and look forward to others insights :)

There's no lossy compression when you convert to a 16 bits-per-channel tiff.

Edited to delete possibly erroneous information until I've gone away and researched how different colour spaces work with different gamma curves.

Saving the photo as a TIFF will not change IQ. Your editing might reduce the IQ, of course.
