Editing Nikon video on PC

You either need a powerful PC for HD video editing or an editing program that can use shadow files. It creates low quality versions that you use while editing then goes back to the original files for rendering the final version. So you preview and change a low quality version that the PC can handle then only see the full quality version when it's made the finished version as a file or disc.
I use power Director 9 which does create shadow files if your PC can't crunch full HD fast enough..

:agree: wot 'e said :D Movieplus X5 that I use creates small proxy files for the editing process, seems to work well, and then when the project is rendered it creates the full blown version.
