In the dim, distant past; my wife was the photographer and I was the reluctant bag carrier. Waiting around for ages, listening for the shutter to click, BORED RIGID! Fast forward to today and I'm the one who is taking longer and longer to create a reasonable composition. Having edited thousands upon thousands of "running" photographs, I have a reasonable level of editing skill. Sal on the other hand, is an infrequent snapper, recording walks and holidays for the family digital album. Unfortunately, the sliders of death dominate her editing. TEXTURE DEHAZE CLARITY SHARPENING. When my photos are added to the album ... "Yours are way better than mine!" I've now resorted to "hiding" my photos on my hard drive and editing virtual copies for the album. We see things in a different way I suppose but it does create friction. Trying hard not to discourage her from getting out there and taking photos together as that's the best bit of the process. I try to help without sounding as though I know it all. I certainly don't. My problem is colour, the finished result just doesn't seem right and I'm unsure how to edit it in the way I visualise it.
