Editing help

Hi all, this pic was taken by a really good friend, of his wife & dad, can anyone help with the blown out face, my ps skills are too basic to make it worthwhile

I've just put it though Lightroom and CS3 without any success I'm afraid. There just isn't any detail to recover. There are some PP geniuses on here though so you never know.

It's completely blown, there's no detail at all we could pull out.

Next best thing would be to replace his face from another similar image, but that's probably a step too far.

Sorry not even worth trying, the face is so blown out that it is almost pure white, you cant create something from nothing, only improve things.

Like i said its going to be hard as the detail is not there.

I would suggest doing a b+w and try and make it less obvious.

I hope someone can do a better edit for you but this is what i meant.
