Hi All,

Im Josh Henderson just new to this forum and i am interested in photography and i no a fair bit about it all, i was wondering could anyone help me i have Adobe elements 7 soon to be getting the cs3, could anyone tell me whats the easiest way of changing the background on the programe or a way full stop.

Thanks for your reply sorry for lack of info. I mean if you have a pic say of a dog and you want to cut just the dog out and change the backround of whats behind the dog, how do i do that?

It would just be the case of cutting the dog out, removing the background and then creating another layer which you put underneath the dog layer and put whatever you want on it.

There are all manner of ways of doing this... most employ a method of creating an accurate mask. Hair is generally the most difficult area, but by playing with channels and levels you should be able to create a mask that works. To be honest, your best bet is a quick search on Utube as it is covered to death on it :thumbs:
 
topaz remask does a wonderous job with little effort............great for hair etc.its a plugin for photoshop
