I have two photo's i would like to blend together to make one. Basically placing one on top of the other but fading them into each other? Am i able to do it if so what do i do. I have Adobe photoshop 7, but dont know how to use it!

PLEASE HELP!
:bonk:

Paste up a typical example and we'll have a crack and explain what's wot

In PS& - open the two images together, then create a new layer (ctrl+shift+N) on the first. Select the second image (ctrl+A), copy it (ctrl+C). Click on the new layer in the original image & paste (ctrl+V). Then use the opacity slider on each layer until they are blended how you want. If you want to get really clever create a new layer mask (more complicated) - have a go with the above & repost if you need help with layer masks.
Good luck - love to see the output image here!

I cant do it because the people in the pictures seem to look see-through like ghosts. Can i get both the people to look normal in it?

I followed that ^ ... but im new so probably have got it wrong.

please help

You need to read up on layer masks - they will allow you to blend images at full opacity & are the best thing in photoshop IMHO - I use them in every single image that I work on & it's well worth taking the time to learn about them
Do you have images that you can post up so as someone can make you a relevant tutorial?
