Ed, the youngest passenger pilot

My eldest son's friend, Ed, has become the youngest person in Britain to fly passenger aircraft.

He appeared in the Mail, Sun, Telegraph, Guardian etc. at the weekend.

Ed is a lovely boy, well mannered and hard working, and from a close family.

There are 58 comments under the article... most say how wonderful it is, b ut the usual sour grapes ones which say it is because his father is a pilot.

As his twin sister Emily points out in the comments.. he passed all his exams and that is why!

So, good on you Edward, way to go!!

I think that its irrelevant what his dad does, he did it all on his own

Tom came in one day and said... we are all going for a flight with Edward.. (this was a couple of years ago)... I said "You're not.. .he hasnt even passed his driving test yet!"
