Hi

Am looking to pick up a Canon 7D and have seen this:-

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-Canon-EOS...Cameras_DigitalCameras_JN?hash=item27aff451bb

Now, normally I'd be happy to buy from a 5000+ feedback UK based seller, but I can see lots of suggestions here to buy from elsewhere (including various online shops and potentially more expensive eBay sallers) and was wondering whether I am missing something? Is there is a risk of getting some sort of unsupported grey import which will not be covered by the Canon guarantee etc etc, or some other reason why the above would not be attractive?

Ta

At the bottom of the listing is some contact details for warranty queries, so best ask from the horse's mouth.

Warranty
All of our products come with a minimum 12 months seller repair warranty covering parts and labour. For any other queries on our warranty policy, please call +44 (0) 208 669 7918 or email us at sales@photo-direct.co.uk

This is Grey, hence "seller warranty".

It's worth checking to see if they have an international warranty card - it may be a Canon-backed one for 12 months. Personally, if the price difference was right, I'd be happy to forgo a 2 year UK warranty for a big saving, on the basis that most things that have been manufactured incorrectly in the first place tend to go wrong within the first few months.

If memory serves, there was a thread about that not too long ago. Kerso provides a UK reciept, so it can be repaired legitamately under warranty in the UK :)

All the Grey UK importers give UK receipts so should be the same

Ps. I bought a 50D from Kerso :)

The seller in the first post seems to import from the USA, going by their feedback.
