eBay problems!!

Bought a camera on eBay last Thursday, send payment immediately. Seller has tons of good feedback so I wasn't expecting any friction.. Item was to be sent via first class post, but so far I've not had a whiff of it being sent, and have had no reply from the seller as to whether it's been dispatched or not :thinking:

What should I do? I'm starting to feel a little bit uneasy at the lack of reply to the inbox message... Especially with the amount of money I've put on it.

Would like any kind of advice, anyone else had a similar experience? I just hope this doesn't turn bad!
 
I had a similar thing this week albeit with a set of golf clubs.

I paid for them on the 20th May via paypal. It then took the seller up until the 25th to send them out on 3-5 day delivery. Nothing arrived so on the 5th June i asked to be refunded. The seller basically refused saying hes going to wait until he get confirmation from the delivery company that his loss would be covered.

So, not happy with this I escalated a claim in paypal and it was found in my favour as the seller couldn't prove that the clubs had been delivered (which they hadn't)

HOWEVER . . its now going to take up until 15th June to get the money back in my paypal account . . . . not happy about that!

Presuming you have paid via Paypal I would put in a dispute at once and then let them sort it out. Sending a camera by normal first class post is idiotic at best anyway.

I did pay by paypal. Are you sure a dispute would be the right thing to do at this stage?

Are you able to get a full refund?? I was under the impression that it is only possible to get a certain level of compensation?

Yes i'm getting a full refund as it shows the amount is pending in my paypal account. Just got to wait for it to clear!
 
Yeah just start a dispute. If he is messing around it might kickstart him, if its genuine and he has been away or ill or dead, then he can just resolve it with no further action by sending the camera.
If you dont recieve it, then escalte the dispite to a claim. It'll take up to a few weeks, but you will get your money back.
