Its a shame that people cant just be honest these days, just say they are replicas in the advert :bang:

I appreciate the heads up before I threw money away :)

Uh.. then people wouldn't buy them :|

(Don't mean to be sarky... I agree that it's a sad state of affairs. The moral is - for small, high value goods that are easily faked, i.e. memory cards, filters etc., stick to ordering from reputable on-line stores like 7dayshop, or from established camera stores. Example - Mifsuds charge £130 for a top-of-the range Hoya polariser to fit my Canon 24-70mm zoom -expensive isn't the word (!) but at least I'd know that I was getting the genuine article.)

At £7 it's bound to be fake, besides which the seller is a postage rip off artist.

The majority of people that sell alot charge lots of postage so they can have a lower item cost. This means that they pay less 'final value' and 'listing' fee's to ebay. So you just assume that the total cost of the product is item + postage - a few quid.

Its a common trick to get round paying loads of fee's.

Based on that line of thinking that filter might actually be real because hoya-online sell that one for £16 as well....

Hmmmmmmm

If it looks too good to be true, it probably is - especially on e-bay!
