Hiya folks just a quickie, I'm struggling to find any info online and wondered if anyone has an insight into this....

I bought a "used" meike battery grip for my 550d on the 1st December.

This is sellers description....

MEIKE VERTICAL BATTERY GRIP FOR CANON EOS 550D 600D 650D 700D (BGE8) - NEW

I bought this battery grip a few weeks ago for my EOS 600D but have now bought a new camera which takes a different grip.
This is brand new, boxed and has never been used.

Now i know that it wasn't technically new as was bought from a private seller and not from a business seller but my question is the following.
Where do i stand on a refund if its faulty?
The shutter button has just stopped working. it still half depresses to lock exposure but wont fire the shutter.

I estimate it was delivered on or around the 4th/5th December so I've had it approximately one month, its only been on the camera twice.

do i have any grounds for a PayPal dispute? is there any point or will they just laugh it off?

Cheers

Nick

spoke to the guy I bought it off think he's gonna sort it out.
Fingers crossed
As a general rule, if I have any kind of problems with a purchase I will start an Ebay dispute case immediately. I would make sure that your seller sorts the problem out quickly otherwise if he stalls long enough he may claim that too much time has passed.
