I haven't used them, but this site looks (like a few others that pop up from time to time) a bit fishy.

The prices on the site are just way to low - way way WAY below normal prices. Even if the products were refurbs, there is still no need to sell them this cheap.

Even though they have a contact number, that still doesn't guarantee its legit.

Normal rules apply... if it seem to good to be true, it usually is.

Look them up on www.whois.com
Looks a bit dodgy registered in California despite being listed on their website as Liverpool.
The prices are just too low.

Too good to be true?
Virtual office address

Individually the above are all warnings, together they are a big no-no. But the biggest no-no is that the page you input your credit card details on is NOT protected by SSL (https://) and there's no mention of how payment is processed, or by whom (except for a PayPal logo at the bottom left, which isn't true as there's no PayPal during checkout).

Personally, I'd avoid them like swine flu. That's just my opinion, though.

I've had a bit of a dig around, and I agree with everyone else here. Something isn't right. A D60 for £100?

There are loads of questions about them from other forums around the net - everything from mobile phones to iPods, and everyone is saying the same thing - something doesn't seem right. I haven't found any comments anywhere from anyone who has actually used them. The website itself is completely generic and has been put together using OS Commerce or something similar. Notice even the generic logo and the "shipping costs" of $0.00?

I'm reminded of this story that came out earlier in the day...

The fact that they are selling in GPB rather than GBP should in itself be a giveaway.

One for the banks and Merseyside Police, by the looks of the McAfee Site Advisor results.

Can't see Merseyside, or any other UK police force even being interested - the only UK part of the site is a serviced office in Liverpool, which has nothing to do with the actual site. I'll bet the services of the company in Liverpool that run the office have probably been paid for using some poor sod's cloned card details too....

It's a crazy site. check on the digital SLR section... fancy a Canon D60 for £100 sorry I mean "GPB". Or a 10D for £90 or a 20D for £107 ? They haven't made those for years.

Still, I suppose some poor sod will get sucked in.

Mind you, Jessops had a "new" 10D in their Ebay shop a few months back

Personally, I would if it's organised fraud - which it does appear to be. Unfortunately, I have enough going on in London without starting to clear up Scouse territory as well!

after placing an order with this website for a media player and waiting 9 days with my order still processing alarm bells were banging my brains out my g/f's card which was used has had a miscellaneous charge against it and as she has only used this a few times in the 3 weeks she has had it the only company without any pedigree or background was Easytobuythem.com who took all the details and never even bothered to process the payment >>>>>>> do not use this site >>>>>>> do not give them any details >>>>>>>>> do not even sign on to this site >>>>>>>>> buyer be more than aware >>>>>>>>>>>>>:nono::nono::nono::nono::nono::nono::nono::nono::nono::nono::nono:

But it's not being perpetrated from within this country, therefore I can't see how any UK police force would have juristiction....

We would be able to take action if the scam is happening in this country on whatever level. However, you have to be able to balance public interest factors and costs with the likely outcome. In this case, if it were being run from a hut in deepest darkest Nigeria, then yes - it would be very difficult. From Europe, comparatively easy.

However, for all but the biggest organised fraud rings in foreign countries, it would be better in 99% of cases to pass information to their respective authorities, rather than start setting up Extradition Orders and the like.

We used this not so long ago with Cypriot gangs who were having high-value cars stolen to order in this country and shipped across Europe. None of them were based in the UK, so we ended up going out to Cyprus to get them, working in cooperation with the local force.

Strathclyde Police are facing a £35million defecit,so if it was up here the most they'd be able to is phone them up and ask them to come in and give themselves up -even then that would only work if the criminals would accept a reverse charge call

Cancel the card now. Probably worth checking your g/f's credit file to see if her identity is being used as well.
