Hoping someone can help me out here.

Organising a trip to Iceland next march. I know Easyjet charges for hold baggage £34 for 20kg. Does anyone now if this is for both legs of the flight or the cost per leg.

Tried to phone them to find out but gave up after 15 minutes listening to crap music.

Cheers for any help.

Cost per leg I am afraid!

I used Icelandair because of this and had a brilliant flight from Gatwick, probably not much help!

yep as above... sleazy / crying air.. are both rip offs.

We've just checked in online for our trip and paid £80 and when I printed the boarding passes the outgoing and incoming ones had the symbol for hold baggage.

I flew recently and I thought it was return. If you put it in and go all the way to the bit before payment you should see either way.

As an aside I find Easyjet pretty good for short journeys.

Ryanair I won't and have not flown with in ages.

Icelandair currently under £182 from LGW/LHR in March (don't know where you are though!)

Thanks for the info. In west wales so need to factor in the extra cost of getting to gatwick. Don't mind paying just wasn't sure.

They fly from Heathrow too which would be easier, but still a way for you to come.

All Easyjet extra costs are per Segment/Sector/Leg (all mean the same, just different terms for it).

Is that a rip off? Not really, no. The Legacy carriers charge just the same if not much more, they just charge whether you use it or not and don't break down the costs. So for example your coffee might cost you £2.50 (or however much it is) on Easyjet. But the cost on say BA will be £5, and you're told it's free. Of course you have to pay for it like it not as well.

I've just paid my Easyjet flight from Bristol to Iceland in March it came to £267 return for two people including hold luggage both ways, also included extra leg room seats for both of us. If you need more info give me a shout as I've arranged this for twelve people this time and eight people last March so have had a little experience.
