My kids are at university now, but when they were younger we used to do daft things at Easter to keep them amused.
First was the Easter egg tree. It took a bit of effort, but every night the eggs grew bigger on the 'tree'. The tree was a small branch stuck in a plant pot.
Small chocolate eggs were covered in foil and attached to the tree with thread. Each night some of them were removed and replaced with bigger eggs until
creme eggs appeared on the Sunday morning.
We used forsythia, by accident, which started to blossom soon after Easter which added to the magic.
One Easter we were in the Bordeaux and we came up with the idea of dinosaur nests- collections of twigs and leaves with, of course, dinosaur eggs...
Any other ideas to keep the magic alive for young kids, or just a bit of fun?
