East Coast Locations

Hi,
I'm heading to the East Coast for a weekend soon, and not knowing the area, am looking for some good locations for landscape shoots, mainly sunrise, unless someone has great ideas for sunset.

Target is between King's Lynn and Skegness

Any and all suggestions welcome!

Hi Mark and welcome to the forums. Try downloading the Photographer Ephemeris it is a free download for the PC/Mac and shows you the direction and time of sunrise and sunset. Very useful for scouting out the locations anywhere in the UK.

If you're happy to venture slightly north from Kings Lynn, Hunstanton is nice, and further around the coast (although East) are Brancaster, Burnham Overy Staithe, Holkham, Wells next the Sea, Blakeney, etc. ... they are all lovely and worth a visit.

Although I live in Northamptonshire, I visit north Norfolk frequently; Barry has suggested some good spots and I have photographed them all. Close to Kings Lynne is Bawsey ruins, well worth an hour or so but be warned, the farm track leading to it is very pot-holed and they are FULL of water.
