Sky News reporting an investigation into a reported earthquake this morning in North Devon and South Wales - anyone feel it?

Talking of sinkholes

Did they actually call it an Earthquake though, or did they refer to it as ' significant tectonic movement', in the same way as the BBC were reporting 'Hurricane Force winds', and not hurricanes? :)

Didn't wake disturb me at all.

They reported hurricane force winds because they were hurricane force and they didn't report hurricanes because we had no hurricanes and couldn't have in this latitude.
As to the earthquake, I didn't feel a thing here in Newport but did feel one back in 1976 iirc.

i thought i felt an earthquake down south once, if i remember rightly i asked some body which was responsible for monitoring these things (possibly the BGS) and i was told something along the lines of "dont be so silly the nearest fault is off the north coast of scotland"

That was when I was giving Mrs Nod a cuddle - sorry to all who were affected by me making the earth move!

In the real world, didn't feel it here, although it did apparently register on seismographs in the city. According to the local news, the epicentre was in the middle of the Bristol Channel.
