Hi, I've just developed my first 120 roll of Fomapan 200 in Bellini Duo Step. It went well, but the developer was bright green when used.
As I used Bellini Duo Step, the two part developers are reusable (a formulation similar/identical to Diafine, I understand). I had read about the green dye, but hadn't thought it might be an issue in one shot developers, but what about a reusable one?

My Parodinal comes out purple even with film that does not have an antihalation layer. You can imagine what it looked like when I used it with Fomapan the other week! Same colour as my face when I saw the grain.
:shifty:
:puke:

I only use Foma as sheet film, but I use a prewash (2-3mins, 20C) to wash off the antihalation dye before adding developer. I do the same for my HP5 as well, which comes out black/dark purple. I've still managed to tinge my replenished XTOL/XT3 green though, but it usually comes out after enough replenishment.

I quite like the shade of green from fomapan, it’s just a shame it clashes with my blue eyes

Despite forewarning from this thread, I was still amazed at the bight green water that came out
after pre-soaking my first roll of Fomapan 200 today. Reminds me of the bright green creme soda we used to get as kids.
