Help I reinstalled win 7 and I can not get anything to show on one of my screens.
I have set it to extend mode if on the one screen that is working I can move thing over to where the other screen is ie of the screen BUT the screen is not working.
I have one screen on VGA and the main screen which s not working on the DVI
It all worked before

Went to LG and download drivers for the monitor but can not seem to be able to install I right click and hit install but it says the INF is not supported for this kind of install.
HELP

Sounds like you need the driver for the LG, unusual though as Win7 usually sorts all that?

Can you get the LG screen to work by itself (in single screen mode) ?

If you plug just the LG screen in does the BIOS show on it as the PC boots ?

Does it work if you unplug the VGA screen?

As I said I got the drivers but they will not install.

Yes I did see your post, perhaps the drivers you tried were for the wrong version of your Win7 (32bit or 64bit)?

Got them from Medion the makers an 64bit

You got LG drivers from Medion and " ....... can not seem to be able to install I right click and hit install but it says the INF is not supported for this kind of install." ?

I meant did you get the correct driver from LG for your 64bit Win7 ?

thats what i said on there web u go to your model and it has all the drivers

It shouldn't stop the screen running not having the right driver, worst case would be running the wrong res.

Sounds more like a gpu / gpu driver issue..

You might well be right that it's a graphics card problem, think I am still in confusion as to why Medion for an LG driver o_O

Win7 can be really funny with screens, I can't get my TV to show at all with Win7, yet works fine with Vista and XP.

Possible the sync/resolution is not correct. Screen seen as PC boots BIOS then drops as soon as Widows is involved.

Have you tried 'safe mode' (press F8 once the BIOS screen has gone off) or if one screen is working try to drop the resolution of the LG monitor.

What happens if you select 'Duplicate these displays'?

Mistake above Graphic card drivers from Medion sync/res are all with in limits of lg display.
LG files download from LG will not install.
The display window/box shows two screens I hit detect also Identify and the VGA displays 2 as it set up to but still nothing on LG on the DVI

If you right click on the VGA desktop and select "Screen resolution" what does it say the Display is that is not coming on? Also, what is its recommended resolution.

It may be that there is a slight incompatibility with the EDID information.

It has wrong res and shows just as digitel screen for 2nd screen
Must say it was all working before
What is EDID?

EDID = Extended Display Identification Data. Basically, when you plug a monitor in, the monitor gets asked its capabilities. It returns this in the EDID data and it normally includes information like manufacturer, display type etc.... It looks like your display type is not being recognised, and it therefore doesn't know what timing signals to generate as it doesn't know what your monitor supports. Had this on an older monitor and found that by unplugging and replugging whilst the computer was on would get the screen to at least come on.... There is probably a way of forcing the output on, but I have no time to look at it right now (but you may find google helpful - google something like Win 7 monitor not recognised)
