Had a few dust specs in my 50mm 1.8 and was well annoyed!! So got my rocket blower and blew it around the glass rim which would connect to the camera and... The dust has gone ! Result thought it would be permanent.

Don't know if others have tried this but if not give it a try;)

I wouldn't recommend doing this on the basis that you are probably blowing more dust in at the same time.

Anyhow dust specs won't affect IQ so don't fix what ain't broke!

Oh no dont blow a rocket, thats the worst thing you can do, if your seeing spots on the pics its sensor dust {Dust bunnies) dont blow that OMG, get an invisible dust cleaner or if =you ned wet cant remember the name :bang:

No spots on the pictures, just noticed it inside the glass. After blowing the lens it has gone, didn't see any more dust but will monitor it. Thanks for the advice

Although sensor dust bunnies isn't the OP's problem I just thought I'd add...

Lots of people (me included) use a rocket blower. They have a filter on them so they don't blow crap into your camera and they're good and often clear sensor dust bunnies without the need for a wet clean.

when i was in new york i had serious sensor dust which ruined quite a few photos :( but a quick blast with my rocket blower fixed it instantly, couldnt ask for much more.
