Hi all,
Ordered my first set of prints from DSCL and they're not exactly how I'd have liked them to turn out.....but I suspect this is 100% my fault.
First of all I'll confess I'm working with an un-calibrated monitor which, I know, is never ideal. But I can't pull out the funds for a Spyder or similar just yet.
I have installed the correct colour profile to use with PS CS6.
I think my downfall has been selecting the 'pro' option when selecting the size and paper type of my prints. Would I have been better selecting the 'amature' (can't quite remember how they word it) option? And does this mean that someone from DSCL will look at the file before they print it and manually correct the colour, and in particular, the exposure of the picture?
Thanks in advance for any advice,
Danny.
