Yes
Used DSCL for the first time and picked my prints up today. Quality is top notch, matches my screen exactly and delivery on time so well happy there

One thing is confusing me. I ordered their Lustre paper, the receipt confirms this but the paper is 100% identical to my Ilford Pearl paper with the same level of shine. I've got some of Calumet's lustre paper and there's hardly any shine to that.

Could this be a mistake or is the Fuji Lusture really that shiny?!! lol

More of a sheen than a shine, but very nice nevertheless.....

Blimey, I wonder what the Pearl look like! I had one Glossy and it is rather glossy.

The lustre paper is excellent imo but, would probably be better described as satin, I think most would then know what to expect.

The more I think about this the more it doesn't make sense. How can Ilford's Pearl and DSCL's Lustre be identical - even the texture is 100% identical. Calumet's Lustre is so much different, it has a slight sheen but no crystal like shiny bits.

Do DSCL do sample packs?

The pearl is amazing.

I placed an order for some large formats, wide formats and pearl 10x8 on Sunday and they were on the mat Tuesday :)

Exactly as were on my screen too.

I've got Pearl and Lustre prints at home, and there is a significant difference in the reflectiveness of the surface, the Lustre prints are more matt in finish, and the pearl prints are a lot "shinier" if that makes sense...

I've not seen the Ilford to compare, but is it possible they've printed on the wrong paper?

Having used the Illford paper I can see why people think they are the same (I haven't put them back to back to check however)

Would it not just be down to the names that DSCL have decided on for there products? as they use Pearl and Illford use Pearl and they are completely different, DSCL Pearl for me is nearer what I would expect that say Illford Pearl

Could be wrong though

I love the service from dscl, the pearl paper is lovely :)

The lustre finish is more of a matt and I find it only suits certain prints. The glossy is very shiny and top quality giving nice rich bold colours.

Maybe it's just Calumet's Lustre is very flat?

I'm going to order up some photos of each type of paper from DSCL and that should put it to bed. Paper query aside, quality is fabilcious! :D
