Never used either but the reports I've seen suggest there may be a reason for vast price difference and that is the quality of prints ;)

As far as I'm aware the pro and non pro prices are the same with DSCL?

Can you give more details

Avoid Jessops, try Photobox great quality and value but for b&w go to Ilford labs.

My experience has pushed me towards DSCL from Photobox, who can be fine on a good day...
So far my prints from DSCL have all been wonderful and I can't see me going back to Photobox !

Strange that just seen this post. Sorry I have never had 6x4 images done @ either.
For that matter I have only had about 15 prints done since I bought my camera 2 years ago.
They were all done with Dscl. I ordered 5 yesterday at 12 midday 18x12's lustre pro non corrected.
Postman woke me up with them this morning they are superb. Make my imgaes look like I know what I was doing when I pressed the shutter :-)
I use photobox for all my wifes works photos. They look ok but they are what,I guess we would call snaps eg nights out and the like where we just send them off like you would in the trueprint days.No edits or crops.

Gaz

DSCL every time unless they're wedding reprints then they're automatically fulfilled by OneVision.

Wouldn't go near Jessops or any other high street store as their staff change too frequently for them to guarantee any consistency

Was looking for a big square format prints, never heard about DSCL before, but these guys r doing 12x12 c-type for 0.80. Cant be truth!!!

Can be true - I have had a bunch of 12x12" prints done to go with cd covers and they look wonderful !
I have found a place that does plain black 12" square frames for £2.69 (The Range in Truro) so I can afford to give both a cd plus framed print of the cover as presents - bingo !

Maybe u dont midn to share that place for 12' frames? ;)

depends how quick you need the prints. if you get a good store/staff then jessops and DSCL arent that much different.

as si said above DSCL customer service can be shocking at times.

As a first time visitor of the DSCL website - I'd just like to comment on how badly designed the DSCL website is when it comes to placing orders for prints. No register button and no login button at the top of the site. I felt like I was back in 1998. It's horrendous.

I use it frequently and even on my first visit found it easier than many - you don't need to register or log in - simple. Are you a photographer or a web designer :)
