Drunk Squirrel - no really

He shouldn't have released it - technically the greys are an invasive alien species and if caught should be despatched humanely or delivered to someone/where who can do it properly. ;) Even feeding them is technically illegal, although them stealing from bird feeders is a grey area...

Well sod that. ...I feed them all the time., and no bird feeder involved.
I can think of a good few people I'd dispatch before a squirrel.

So can I but, as I said, technically it's an offence to release them once they're trapped and to feed them (well, technically two offences...)

We get one in the garden but it's a very occasional visitor - the cat seems to be a bit of a deterrent (and she has managed to catch and despatch one in the past!) Lots in the trees along the stream at the bottom of the road but they don't seem to be too bothered about coming up this far - about 50m from the path. Reds are confined to a local park where they're fenced in, although the fence is more to keep the greys out than the reds in. Rumour has it that there's an effort to clear the Lizard of greys and to reintroduce reds.

This Country even drives the squirrels to drink......................

Actually, has anyone checked to see if the squirrel is a TP member and / or related to @Server Hamster ?

Not technically, ipso facto
And you can be prosecuted under CsWLA to the tune of £5000 and or 6 months in prison.

[QUOTE=" Mr Boulter, who estimated he lost about £300 in the incident, eventually caught the squirrel in a waste paper bin and released it out of the window. .[/QUOTE]

A Squirrel ( some would call rodent) causes £300 damage, and he lets it go free. Wonder if he did really

Quite a few years back, I ended up in A&E and one of the other people waiting was a doctor (who did his rotation in that A&E department but still sat and waited for his turn) who had been "on a course" (handy phrase that covers a round of golf without actually lying!!!) when his playing pals dropped a squirrel into his ball bag. When he went for a ball and put his hand in, it bit him to the bone! I wouldn't pick one of the buggers up, nor would I deliberately kill one (or take it somewhere for them to do the deed, however illegal that might be!) Live and let live.

Live and let live.
Until one gets into your roof space and eats through your wires and cable, water pipes and water tank (yes really) well they do need food water and cover.
and then turns the antique books and other memorabilia up there, into a nest for the winter.
You'd be astounded how much mess they can make in a couple of weeks.
I've lost count how many I've disposed of over the years for that very reason.

The best so far is 12 out of one domestic residence, in about 5 days,
a thatched house, they went up the wisteria, chewed through / pushed through a corner of the thatch, and they we have it a Squirrel Centre Parcs.

I have had sneaky rats ( human type ) sifting though my old books and car magazines, I had them in bags and tied up neatly in my loft. After workmen had been in the loft, I went up to check after they had left. All my books and magazines were scattered about, obviously they had been reading them. Not sure what type of magazines they were hoping to find, stashed in a loft  :$

Not sure, but it looks as if our squirrel visitors have their own loo!
