Dreading tomorrow, cant concentrate

I really should be working through some photos from a recent shoot I had, but I cant get motivated. The reason for this is that the mrs has developed a big cyst in her thyroid gland on her neck, after tests they can not be sure if it is just a (normal) cyst, or if it is something a bit more sinister, she goes under the surgeons knife tomorrow. I would truly rather be having it done myself than see her go through this even if it does come back as nothing to worry about. The are taking the whole left side of her thyroid away so hopefully that will be the end of it.

Dont know why I posted here, to be honest I think I just wanted to get it off my chest as I can't talk to her about how worried I am. Hope nobody minds:shrug:

Sometimes just sharing helps Glyn, of course no one minds. it's a traumatic time for you both

My Mum had it done years ago and now laughs about it. I hope she recovers as well as Mum did she was no spring chicken when it was done.

Glyn, I understand your predicament. My (now) wife had a cyst elsewhere, a few years back and required an operation to remove it, so I know the worry it causes, as well as the need to hide your worry form her. like yourself, I'd have swapped places in an instant if i could have done.

You need an outlet to say you are worried and Im sure you dont want to put too much back on your wife so here is as good as any place to do it!!. As above logs, I hope all is well for you both and you get back to a normal life soon enough.

Thank you all again for your kind thoughts & wishes! The operation went well & a cyst the size of the surgeons fist was removed, Tracy is ok now just very tender & sore, as you would expect. Just got to wait on the results now from what they removed, fingers crossed its all good news.

Hi Glyn, my best friend had the same thing and was told that even if the lump was sinister nearly all cases have positive outcomes because the lump is generally isolated. My fingers are crossed for you and your wife.

Oh Glyn, So so sorry for you both.

Such a bombshell when one receives bad news regarding health......a very hard time for you both.

Can only offer love and support with words Glyn.....stay strong for each other through treatment etc
 
So sorry to hear about that, but hope you two will have the strength and courage to see it through, especially since modern medicine can do wonders these days.

Try and stay positive and remember that we have the best health service in the world. Medicine has progressed massively.

Make sure you both make use of all the help you are offered.

Sorry it wasnt the news you wanted Glyn. Try to keep strong and think positive, both of you, easy to say, hard to do, but stick with it, modern treatments can work wonders. Our thoughts and prayers are with you both.
 
I've kicked myself into touch reading this, this morning I was wingeing about which job I should take when I should just be grateful to even be here and have good health.

My thoughts are with you both.

Glyn I'm really sorry to hear your bad news, Wishing you both well.

I Can't even comprehend how you both must be feeling. All I can say, is give each other all the love you both need especially at this rough time!
