Has anyone had any experience of, or know anything about a machine like this -

We have a drain under a drive which has a few roots in it. So far the drain isn't blocked but I'd like to deal with the roots sooner than later to save having to have the drive dug up, if possible.

In searching for companies that cut roots in drains and in the area I want(the house is more than 65 miles from the nearest town) I found the above machine which looks just right, but in some ways too right. Compared to what I imagine a company would charge, £150 doesn't look a lot, but it could be too good to be true.

Thanks

Dave

I have no idea about this machine (or any others that do a similar job really) but 250w isn't a very powerful motor especially if it's got to cut through roots so guess you'd need to be very slow and careful..

Thanks. I too wondered about the power of the motor. I'll dig around a bit more before I decide if I will shell out for one.

Cheers

Dave

It doesn’t specifically mention that the machine will deal with roots so going from that I’d assume it wouldn’t. Roots can also be incredibly fibrous and tough, I wonder if a 250watt motor would even touch them.

Thanks all.
