No
See lots of people on commute to work using with dr. dre beats headphones. Got curious, checked their prices and they are pretty pricey. Wonder what's so great about them except they are big? Any music maestros here who could answer my question please?

Bit like Scullcandy ones - they're a bit cool at the moment but it's all fur coat and no knickers IMO

Use beats with my Phone/Mac. previously using some V-Moda Vibes and Skullcandy GI's (skullcandy have always been cheap **** not worth £20 a pair).

I use to think the V-Moda's were great quality until I had the beats. They give fantastic quality. I agree marketing has made them cost more than they should but in comparison the V-Moda's were pretty much £100 a few years back.

Oh and you obviously need to start with good quality music/audio to start with as well.

Loads of fakes about and some people judge them via the fakes.

don't have any myself, but both kids of the family i work for have them, both the cans, and in ear varieties. The sound is pretty good, but nothing startling (imo) and within 2 months of having them, both types have had problems, parts coming loose, parts coming off.
I would avoid, and if you were thinking of spending something in that price range, there are a LOT of better options.

I have the beats Pro overear, and the beats in ear version cant remember the name but they are fantastic,

I used to have some sennheiser HD25's (when i used to DJ - most of the pro DJ's still use these) and the Beats Pro blow these out of the water.

Its all about the quality of the file you begin with, i also have some Shure moulded in ear ones, and id be tempted to say they almost sound as good.

Marketing, pure and simple.

The guts are the same as in headphones available for less than half the price.

Made by "Monster" or so I read, a company known for its' overpriced products, they also sell 'Miles Davis' headphones. Dr Dre are apparently the worlds most conterfeited items.

swot I read, probably a lot easier to fake a pair of headphones than a watch/iWhatsit.

I have the Bose in ear's and they are great yes a little pricey but they sound great andnot problems in the last 3 years with them and they get a lot of use.
