It will depend on your computer, and also the conversion settings. My 400d CR2 files are probably roughly equivalent to what your 30d produces, on my PC (Core i5, Windows 7) I'd expect roughly 2 seconds per file typically (highest quality, full size exports with some minor tweaks).

Need a better laptop or pc I think! Intel (r) Core (tm)2 duo cpu @1.66ghz and 2mb or ram. 1 hour and 15 minutes so far and a 120 to go!
