Newish to printing pictures so advice required. I noticed having used Lightroom that when I exported my RAW file it defaults to jpeg and ask me for pixel size or dpi. (I take it that's dots per inch).
I recall seeing something about a decent quality picture to print should be around 300 dpi and anything above is too much and below is way to small.
Silly question but having shot in raw with the picture resolution over 5k and then changed the format to jpeg - what is the dpi to start with?
Can someone point me in the right direction please? I would be looking at printing onto things such as canvas or the average size of a family portrait above a fireplace (uk).
