Edit My Images
Yes
Hi

I was wondering if anyone could offer some suggestions please. :)

At the moment, my main computer has the canon software installed along with cs4 extended. I download images to zoom browser. Any images I want to use, I drag into cs4 which then opens acr first. No probs.

When I go on hols, I will be taking my laptop and external 1gb hard drive. I have installed cs4 onto the laptop but not the canon software. Is there any way of bypassing downloading the images onto my laptop and putting them straight into the external hard drive? and if so, could I then view them in zoom browser (providing of course, I've installed ZB onto my laptop).

I don't use bridge at the moment, but could that be another option?:)

Many thanks.

Lisa

I have downloaded a codec for windows 7 that allows me just to use its own explorer to view them much easier and quicker for sussing out what pics are good and what aint.

what os are you using?

If you have a card reader either external one or one built into your lappy surely you could just transfer them from your card on to your external hdd and look at them at a later stage

sounds like hard work....???

you sure its only 1gb ?

just transfer any pics from the cam to laptop, open with what software you have, then save any raws to external after viewing then remove all from card.

If you right click on the source folder, and select copy and then navigate to the 1Tb drive right click and select paste, that will transfer the images to the 1Tb drive. You can then open them with CS4.

Alternatively use EOS utility to download the images. You can specify the download location within the preferences option on the start page

I use a card reader and just copy them from the card and paste them in to whichever folder I have designated on whichever computer I am using at the time.
