Probably a long shot, but does anyone have any tricks to unwarping a dosa/crepe pan? Mine has lifted slightly in the middle, despite being pretty heavy gauge and only a medium heat, and it's a enough to cause the oil etc to run to the edges.

What's it made of? Steel, Aluminium, cast iron?

Good point. It's aluminium with a granite coating and works with induction hobs. Ironically, I was just looking at the specs there and apparently it has anti-budge tech. I've had it sitting there unused since it bulged until trying it again yesterday. Unfortunately, it's out of warranty.

EDIT: Just noticed that it's not oven safe, so presumably it can't handle even moderately high temps. I might just replace it, got my eye on this one at John Lewis which is oven safe to 300°C, so hopefully well heat treated and strong?

Lots of advice on 'tinternet but they're material dependant...nothing to lose, can you bend, force, whack it back?

I was thinking about a heavy duty press I've got access to, but the more I think about this the more I reckon there's probably no point now because it will just warp again due to the material. I think I'll get that Carbon Steel one and see how it goes. Cheers!

The best pans we ever bought were Circulon ones with the heavy, stainless steel base and their original non stick finish. They are about twenty years old now. Similar to this, but they are pricy now. Mine cost around £20.

Ha that's crazy, I was just in Costco getting some other stuff and I'm sure it was Circulon pans sets they had there that I had a look at! I couldn't see what temperature they were rated to and I did notice a lot of "oven safe" pans are only rated to 180°C.
