I have a day off next week and have decided to spend it photographically.

I live in Milton Keynes so pretty much in the middle of England.
Which location above do you think would get the best photos.

Peak District I would be looking at Padley Gorge, Roaches End Barn, Stanage Edge and Three shires Head.

Suffolk would be Herringfleet Wind Pump, Woodbridge Harbour, Saxstead Mill and the Pakenham Mills.

Dorset would be Corfe Castle, Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door

I'm looking at Sun rise and set and something midday as well.

Which should I choose.

Definitely come up north - the Peak District is beautiful.

Padley Gorge will be in full autumnal splendour and you are very close to Stanage Edge; Mam Tor; Curbar Edge; Snake Pass; Ladybower/Howden Reservoirs; Higger Tor; Mother's Cap and many more (plus there's lots of cafes and places for lunch etc :))

Padley Gorge and Fair Brook (off the Snakes Pass - A57) would be good for midday / poorer weather; Mam Tor and Curbar Edge can have some beautiful sunrises and you are spoilt for sunset from any of the peaks

Southwold in Suffolk would be my choice. You have some great photo opportunities in the town and of course the harbour.

I was there a couple of weeks ago and took the image below, also a great place for lunch.:)

Thank you both for your opinions, just need to check on the weather, Nice to know the colours are in the peak district.

I would go with the the weather forecast to an extent. If one area looks better than the others that would sway me. However, the locations you have mentioned in Suffolk in my opinion are better later in the year, Herringfleet when it is frozen and bear in mind with Woodbridge that a high tide looks nicer than the mud, and also the tide mill will get nicely lit up at sunset nearer the winter equinox. Peak District in Autumn would be my preference...
