A long shot as weather not looking good this weekend but looks like I will be working in Sheffield Friday night and possibly Saturday then again Monday through Wednesday so no point me coming home so wondering if its worth a trip across to Donna Nook yet on the Sunday ? have the seals started pupping yet?

That's great thanks Dave really appreciated, I have booked marked that page :)

I've been in Sheffield since Friday night (work didn't go to plan :( but in still here ) check forecast for Saturday and Sunday and it was this morning that looked best so set my alarm for 6am to beat the crowds as 9am was forcast to be sunny for around an hour before rain later in morning, woke at 5am didn't want to get up too early as it seems Sheffield never sleeps and people still coming out of night clubs and getting taxis by hotel but waited until 5:45 then up and showered, on road by 6:10 and headed east, by 7 the sky looked amazing with lovely sunrise pinks and oranges bouncing off clouds, then around 3miles out a blanket of thick fog poured in :( arrived at carpark had a quick chat with wardens then wandered along track not hoping for much due to fog but there was quite a few fairly close to the fencing so was really pleased to see them and as a bonus by 9:30 sun was pushing through mist and managed a few pics that I think will look ok when processed. Rain came in hard at 10:30 so headed back, what a lovely place and set up at Donna Nook hopefully I will return with wife for a long weekend and spend more time there with better weather as heard numbers peak towards end of November ? as of yesterday there was 120 pups and a few had been born overnight.

Anyone that has not been and in the area really should visit its quite a sight.

Pics will follow in new post in Nature section
