Hi,

Searching the forum I've found a few older threads on photo locations for Donington, but nothing very recent.

I am attending a track day (cars) at Donington Park on the National Circuit. I will be shooting spectator side. Are there any good photo locations and if so where please? My preference would be a corner as up close as possible.

I will be shooting with a 25-600mm bridge camera (Panasonic FZ330). I have only been to Donington once before and had next to no time to explore the track. I tried the outside of the Old Hairpin looking back up at the Craner Curves. To clear the fence, even at 600mm I was a bit distant and it wasn't the location I was looking for. I also recall I don't think you could walk all the way around the perimeter. Is that still the case?

If you had to work with one or the other, would you go infield or work the perimeter?

thanks in advance!

@minnnt put together a good set last year spectator side, he might be able to give you some strong pointers.
Here's the link to his set from last year for some inspiration https://www.talkphotography.co.uk/threads/donington-historic-festival.623899/#post-7391167

Thanks for the reference Matty. Nice pictures from minnnt. I'll pop a question in that thread.
