Just saw this in The Guardian.

Number 5 struck a chord with me. I haven't had my landline plugged in for at least 2 years.

Number 29 too. I have never understood why people do it!

Number 36. I am amazed these places still exist.

Number 39. I haven't owned physical music media for years. I went digital years ago.

Anything on the list resonate with you?

Agree with some of it. The only person I know who uses a landline is my 91year old mum. No flossing though? My teeth get full of bits of food if I don't floss, specially things like poppy seeds, bits of bacon etc.

Oh and I still buy cds. My music system is still set up for cds and vinyl. It's 30 years old but still sounds excellent, so I don't see the need to buy anything new to go digital only.

I assume most of it is tongue-in-cheek but just to address the points above:

I have a land line as do friends and family and we use it lots, the mobile signal at our house crap.

I buy CDs, I like to own what I pay for, no company going bust or just plain changing it's mind in future is going to deprive me of my music

Some of us live 30 miles from Westminster and do not have mobile phone signal AT ALL.

a. Not all tickets have allocated seats
b. There is limited hand luggage space near you seat

But I don't get it either, if I'm in a rush I pay extra for priority service, and if I'm not I really couldn't care less.

My best trips have been through independent travel agents - ones where the people actually understand the products get you the best seats, locations and hotels. Some products aren't offered online either and only available through an agent. Now if the only criteria is to get the cheapest of the cheap perhaps. But sometimes it is just nice to let someone else do the work for you and pay them.

Whilst mine is digitized, I will not bin them as I'm in the understanding there is a legality of requiring to have the original medium. I could be wrong on that one.

I can't say anything on that list resonate with me fully.

He's not wrong about CDs, or at least hard copy music. If you pop your clogs you can leave your CDs to your kids (yeah like they'd want them) but music on Apple or Amazon or whatever isn't transferable.

I queue up when I wait to get on a plane, because if you're one of the last on there you can kiss goodbye to your overhead locker space! Nothing worse than spending a long flight with no leg space because some cockwomble has put their oversized "carry on bag" (suitcase) above your head

Ah well. Maybe I have just got lucky then, as I've never had a problem.

Never wash jeans?? Ohhh noooo. I'd be divorced and have no friends. I don't wash then straight away though, only after about 5 days wear.
We just cancelled our landline after paying rental on something we never use for 2 years.
I always give that C on a calculator several pushes, to be sure to be sure.
Learning to drive, driverless cars? I don't think so, sure they are only just around the corner but we are deluded to think that we won't still need that skill in our lifetime.
My boys struggle with something as simple as analogue time, I've never got why.
I think all our CDs are in the loft.

Interesting article

The driving car thing is a interesting one. I've been thinking about it resently. What we want out of a car will completely change. It will be all about space and comfort in the rear. I think we'll all be in vehicles much like campers with lovely comfortable lounge seats and entertainment systems. I can't wait! :)

Preparation for teaching the rules of cricket. :D
