Yes
photographerFORENAMESURNAME

photographerforename

can not decided between the two is the top one too long (forename and surname are around same characters as my name)?

I'm not claiming to be any kind of website/SEO guru here but it depends how you think people know you? i.e do they know your full name or will the surname suffice?

Also think from an advertising point of view.
* A shorter URL is easier to remember
* Easier to fit onto business cards
* What looks better for the social pages you should have fb.com/PhotographyXXXXX etc

Think about it from a search engine point of view.
Will NEW clients (I'm talking about brand new people who are not searching for you because of recommendations from previous clients) be searching specifically for your name in google? Most probably not. Simply because unless you're a mega photographer superstar they might not know your name.... yet.

New clients will be searching for what they think they want from a photographer. E.g. "Product Photographer Bristol". The chances that there is a photographer in Bristol who ONLY does product photography and has www.productphotographerbristol.com as their URL is unlikely :D In this instance content is key and it's these "keywords" that are specific to your field of photography that you need to have in the content on your homepage and throughout your website. This is where SEO comes in. :)

Why not choose something different?

http://www.maleseahorse.co.uk/ (rubbish site, need to put some effort in)

Something random is often easier to rememeber :)

Keywords in a URL are really not needed. That goes onto the front page of the website and in hidden tags, image tags etc.

 made me chuckle and also click on your site. I like the Lobster font you're using. That's one of my favs at the moment!

He's right though. I wish I had chosen something a bit more original than the Firstname/Lastname Photography when I first started :bonk:

After going to the aquarium and my daughter being told about male seahorses carrying babies in their tummys, she looked at me and asked me if I was a male seahorse.

Random, funny (to me) and memorable :)
