dog food.

One reason I can't have a dog: STINKY DOG FOOD! :gag:
reason two: what comes out the other end is even more stinky! :gag: :gag:

I have an abnormally sensitive nose! It is a real problem :shake:

My mates Mum & Dad have just had a dog food factory built a couple of fields away from them. The stench come summer [if we get one] is going to be vile :(

We always fed our dog with dry food, the wet just seemed to upset her and judging by the smell I can see why :(

Dry food for my doggie as well, meaty food is too rich for him and upsets his stomach... Weird thing with dry food seems to be that the more expensive it is the more he seems to fart... :gag:

the thing is there is more guidelines in health in making the stuff than in human food lol

Our three only get dry food too. 'Normal' dog food in tins has so much rubbish in it.

We only use dry food at Rescue. And we only feed a chicken complete mix. Red meat and things like Turkey are far too high in protein for Staffords. Makes them highly strung and makes their wind worse.

Dry food is also better for their teeth so their breath won't be quite as bad as with tinned food.

We timed Flo once, bowl full to empty in 30 seconds flat, it didn't have time to touch the sides. Towards the end we knew when she was having a bad day as she would be off her food.

My three get a raw diet - primary food is chicken carcasses, no smell, minimal poo and happy dogs :)

Dried food might be better for teeth than tinned (not sure as this would be a bit like comparing biscuits to soup) but raw is probably best of the lot as it helps clean the teeth:D

When I was doing a canine psychology course part of it involved researching dog foods and what went into them - it was enough to prompt me to change their diets. I try to eat primarily unprocessed food as considered it healthier and then realised what I was feeding my companions
