I’ve read all the reviews, watched most of the YouTube reviews, so I don’t need pointing to any or a regurgitation of what’s been said in them thanks. Also aware of the competition / alternatives and their pro’s and cons[emoji106]

What I’m after is any first hand, real world, user experience of these little cameras. I know they’re not that common - probably because they’re overpriced new - but they seem to be a good used buy on eBay.

Any users / past users out there? It’s the Mk III I’m specifically interested in, not the previous iterations.

Yes I’ve a lot of Canon gear and had one for a couple of years now.......great sensor in something so small and compact. Wanted something pocket size for hiking, cycling etc... and it’s been ideal.
Tend to shoot in raw all the time and find image quality very good, there’s loads of menu functions and you will find a new one every time you get the manual out. The flip out touchscreen is really useful and the flash is ok for something so small. Transferring images is easy using the Canon app and you can control the camera remotely. I think the fps is about 7 and I’ve had good action shots with it...dogs, tennis, motorsport....provided you can get near enough. Don’t use video much but it’s been fine....
Only neg for me is you will need an extra battery, and the digital zoom isn’t always perfect so I switch it off.

Brilliant, that’s good to hear. It’s the large sensor / small size and flip out screen that interest me. I’ve just sold a Panasonic LX100 which was great but I never really warmed to it even though it was perfectly capable. I have read that battery life isn’t great, but third party batteries are cheap enough so not an issue. Cheers!!

Yes you can charge the battery in the camera with a mini USB which is handy....I've used that on a motorbike and with a portable charging block......
