It looks like a very shoddy design job, no mention of 'officialities' like secure card payments....I'd steer clear!

Indeed. But if I were trying to start up a business from a flat in a tower block, I'd try very hard to reassure potential customers that they're dealing with a professional outfit. Little things like Terms and Conditions and FAQs and registered company details help. This guy is just an amateur. I wouldn't touch the shop with a barge pole.

Yep. It's called EKM Powershop. On one the one hand it makes it very easy for new businesses to get a web shop presence for only £20/month. On the other hand it makes it very easy for a load of numpties to discredit the idea of internet retailing with their amateurism.

And EKM Powershop supply a (slightly) modified version of osCommerce which is open-source, free software.
