Can't believe there were complaints about Watership Down being shown on Easter Sunday :D

People like to be outraged and moan over the most trivial things. Pathetic really.

Not even sure where the remote for my TV is, I've not watched it for months.

This is how it works: "I" am outraged that somebody is broadcasting / saying this therefore this is non politically correct and must be banned. This is how you shut down things you don't like these days.

P.S. I have no idea what the show is about as I stopped watching programming box a very long time ago.

A clear grasp of the situation. :wave:

Wouldn't mind a pint of what you're drinking myself!:rolleyes:

It's a stunning book and the films not too bad either, one of my favourites. How anyone can complain about a literary masterpiece beggars belief.

Saw a sign out side a pub once advertising Waterhip Down Rabbit Stew, it said;

You've read the book,
You've seen the film,
Now meet and eat the cast

Got to admit it appealed to my warped sense of humour, even if I can't stand the taste of rabbit

ps. thanks to the mod who cleaned the thread up (y)

One of our favourite restaurants on holiday has a petting zoo with baby rabbits in (among other things). They also do a fantastic "Kounelli Stiffado" which is pretty much what you describe above, Ingrid! Delicious, hence it being among our favourites! (And yes, it is the baby rabbits when they're no longer babies.)

It would seem that we have become a nation of brain-dead softies who've lost the skill/power of common sense and that if a "cartoon" isn't all warm and fluffy no one has the sense or responsibility to either explain to their kids that sometimes the big wide World isn't always a nice place and/or turn something off if it's causing upset.

Everyone seems to expect rights but no one wants responsibility..........
