So In the 11 odd years I've been into photography I've never once explored flash and lighting.

I don't do any product photography or studio/people shots inside, would a flash benefit me?

I enjoy automotive photography and general urban/street shots.

Would a flash benefit me at all?

i'm on a journey at the moment discovering lighting and it's opened my eyes. As you know, photography is all about light, or the quality of it.

It can make so much difference to your images, it's unreal. I would suggest just having a browse around a few sites first to see if it would be worthwhile for you forking out yet more money on equipment (as we all know this hobby/job is wallet sapping!);

hope this helps

Definately look at getting a flash. I started my photography on a local newspaper back in the late 70s and I have always used flash. I think I have about 15 different flash units.

I think the best flash lit shots are the ones you cannot immediately recognise as being lit with flash
