Not sure if many on here use the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 ? I purchased one recently and have fallen in love with it. It's image quality (even in low light) is fantastic. I purchased the Creators Combo so it came in the small carry bag with a DJI Wireless Mic 2. Now here's the issue. Whilst the Mic works perfectly and seamlessly, I want to use it slightly differently to most.

I think most people will clip the DJI Wireless Mic 2 to their shirt of similar and use it to speak to to capture their vlogging etc. I don't vlog, but instead want to use the mic like I would on a mirrorless camera body to replace the inbuilt mics and forward mount it to capture sounds ahead of me, not just my breathing when I'm walking. Whilst the internal Mics on the DJI OP3 are OK, they still pick up wind noise quite badly, when it's breezy. Trouble is, the Wireless Mic 2 doesn't come with a standard hot shoe type foot to slid into a cold shoe.

Has anyone come up with a solution for a forward mounting setup for the mic please ?

I use mine like that with the action 4, clipped to the tripod/selfie stick thing just under the camera. I guess it adds a little extra girth, but would this work for you?

Might give it a try. The only problem is that DJI made the Wireless Mic 2 without a standard cold shoe attachment, so not sure if it would fit in the cold shoe on the above fitting, but for £15 it's worth a try.

I'm away at the minute, so don't have my mic to hand, but the clip on it looks a bit coldshoe-ish. Obviously I've never had cause to try it that way.

I'll try myself tonight.

Yes and no. Whilst the width of the foot on the wireless mic 2 is about the right size and so goes into a cold shoe, it’s so thin that it just falls out again. Also when trying to fit it into a cold /hot shoe that has a front lip, the mic will only go in backwards (I.e. not facing forwards)
