Does anybody use the DJI mic mini? I'm wondering if it needs to be registered and updated like the cameras. I want one for my Action 5 pro, but the registering and update was a total nightmare PITA (I will never buy another DJI camera just for that reason) but other then wired mics the mini seems the best bet and keep the camera sealed.

I bought it a few months ago, its great. I video my grand daughter (she is 3) when we go for days out and wanted to pick up all the funny things kids that age say. It works great, the furthest she was away from me was the length of a football pitch and it picked her up no problem.
I've not had to register for anything, I've used it on 2 different Canon DSLR's, a Panasonic camcorder, a Samsung phone and a GoPro 13 which was the only one where I had to change the settings, the rest were plug in and off you go, great product

Sounds good. I'll link to the action 5 with bluetooth, so it's a set up once and hopefully I'll be good to go. To be fair the sound on the action 5 isn't bad to start with.
Thanks for the replies both.

Well the mic has arrived. It comes in a nice pouch.
Pairing proved simple enough, and it works well. a bit of digging on the net suggests setting gain to -5 and noise reduction to low as a starting point. The sound with the out of the box setting seems pretty good, but I haven't tried it outdoors yet.
