Good morning,

I would like to create my own printed Christmas cards this year, using photos I have already taken. Could I please have recommendations for companies that do this. I have looked at Vistaprint but would like a wider range of companies to consider.

Many thanks

Rob

If it's not too many (for you to send to family and friends for example), maybe get some plain cards ( https://www.theworks.co.uk/p/blank-...ite-greeting-cards---pack-of-30/5052089218413 for example) and stick your own prints to them. Plenty of other (more professional looking if you want/need that!) options available for the DiY approach.

Thank you for your suggestion, Nod.

It's interesting how things go. My wife suggested doing our own Xmas cards a year ago, so I took relevant photos last Christmas. With this I mind I posted the above question based on the assumption that we'd be getting them printed and ready to go. As it happens, being into crafts as she is, my wife always intended to mount the photos on card as per your suggestion!

Slight lack of communication lol

We too go for home made cards - my wife has always insisted that things are not too manipulated, or printed up properly, and a lot of friends actually peel the pictures off the cards and keep them.
I have to say that the process of sticking 2 prints to 80 cards is now a part of the build up to Christmas, and the event that is taking the pictures is all a part of the fun too !

Permajet do pre fold cards now I saw them at their open day they looked good form what I could see.

If you have a Mac you can do this from Photos. It's a struggle to find an appropriate template; but we've been doing this for years, on account of ease.

Thank you everyone for the additional replies :)

Well, while I have still been pondering whether to go my route of printed cards or my wife's route of sticking prints to folded cards, she has been out and bought a batch of folded cards and is awaiting the prints.

That's me told then lol

!

Saw a load of different sizes and ratios at the Range a few days ago.

We've just ordered 20 from Photobox.

Yup, the Range is as good as most online and they also have what I call 'photo splits' - the sticky things you might use to fix prints to cards at a good price.

Yes, we have received the prints back, my wife has the card and today we sat at the pc fumbling away at the printed 'Happy Xmas' inserts, trying to get them centred etc. And the outcome?

We both said that this could easily become part of our Christmas build up from now on :)

I use Vistaprint every year... I'm not a fan of the glossy card and like their card options.
This is this year's... :)

We recently spent a couple of hours attempting to create a Christmas card photo featuring our grandchildren. We had tinsel and stuff and our two little darlings (aged 1 1/2 and 3 1/2) and...no final image lol. When one was cooperating the other wasn't and vice versa!

We will be giving each daughter a rather nice photobook entitled, 'When we didn't make a Christmas Photo.'

I took our youngest to the family dentist on Friday, and the receptionist asked if their card was coming soon, saying how much they looked forward to getting it and how many people commented on it each year - she then opened a drawer and pulled out the last 5 years cards..
