Dixons closing Spanish shops

It seems Dixons are going to close it's 34 Spanish shops as part of a cost cutting exercise.
The company made around 85m profit in the last year, shares fell about 17% after the announcement.

Wonder if this will affect their UK operation much.

Are Dixons still on the high street? I haven't seen a branch in quite a while!!

The Dixons brand is only online. The Spanish branches are PC City, they used to have them in France as well but they sold them off a few years ago.

The Dixons name will relate to Dixons Retail plc, the parent company for Dixons (only online now), PC World, Currys and Pixmania.
