Yes
Hello. Ive had some some images printed and framed and im liking them. Im thinking of getting them displayed in my local library and Cafe's. Can I legally do this if they sell?

Who took the pictures?

And do you mean can you legally sell them ?

I see no reason why not, the pictures are legally yours.

Perhaps some others on here can give you some pointers as to how much is reasonable for the cafe to get as a % and any other tips.

Good luck, ive often thought about doing the same but never got round to it.

My photos. I mean like display them in Cafe's etc with a price on and when they sell the cafe or where ever I am displaying them take a small % of what I sell them for.

I do this myself BUT with no % as the owner said she is getting the wall dressed with photos for free... Her words not mine I was going to pay a % myself :)

Yes, off course you can. Just discuss details with the owner/managers of wherever you want to do so.

Thank you. I doubt ile sell photos of motorsports in a cafe but I would like to know where I stand with selling motorsport images due to the sponsors on the cars. My local race track gave me permission but do I need some sort of permission from the race teams.

For example if I sell a photo of a race car and there is a dunlop logo on it and im selling that logo arn't I?

only give a percentage of the profit ,not the selling price ( unless its really low ) a craft shop near me asked if i wanted to sell photos from their shop ,and they wanted half of the sale price ,i explained that it cost me money to produce them and if i only got half the sale price back i would make a loss on every single one ,they then changed their minds ,,,so unless you price them really high you might lose out
and i cant see a problem with selling pics with logo's in them ,think how many pictures would have black lines through them to hide shop names ,brand names etc,,,
