No
Today hundreds of more adult orientated films and series have been added to Disney+ with the launch of Star.
There’s a lot of stuff there!

Went a bit wonky yesterday with parental controls, sorted today i'm glad to say.
Might watch the US version of The Killing, meant to give it a try ages ago.
Also Perception, watched the first series then never saw it advertised again.

Just updated the app on our TV and now it wants me to log in again to access the new stuff. Why, we are already logged in?
Can't do anything now, it's my son's account and he is at work. Won't get an answer on the password until he gets in from work and as I am on late shift this week, I will then be at work. :(

To set the parental controls.

To set the parental controls.

Exactly, by saying you want to view all programmes it automatically sets it to 18+
Needs the password to confirm presumably so naughty juveniles don't watch stuff they shouldn't.

Nope for everything, Opening the app doesn't bring up the normal home page, it just brings up the boxes with each channel name, then the Star box appears on the end, it selects the Star channel itself and has a tab that says Continue, click on that and it asks for the password.

It asks you to log in so the parental controls can be set.

It is asking me to log in full stop. As I said the normal home page no longer appears after I select my Avatar. Then a grey page appears and white boxes start appearing across the screen with each channel name. Then they shift to the left and a box outlined in white appears with Star in it, None of the other boxes can be selected. As quick as the Star box appears the screen changes again, The Star logo fills the screen with a blue tab that says Continue. Click on that and it askes for the log in password. It doesn't give any options to do anything else. I have tried my son's Avatar and it does the exact same thing.

You are being asked to log in for a reason. To select the parental control level.

The person with the account should get an email with a link to the new service.
If they go via the "start streaming" icon everything becomes self explanatory.
That's where the parental control is set so you can view all channels.

Did mine on the PC and the TV automatically works because it uses the same associated profile.
Couldn't watch Agents Of Shield yesterday, can today now the parental control has been changed to 18+
Needed the account password to confirm the profile setting, also offered the option to set a pin for increased parental security.

So basically no password, no update and no tv until its been dealt with.

The update is done. It didn't even advise what the update would do it just said one was available and gave the option of update or ignore
I updated. It then requested launch and now it is asking for the password.
Not a very logical way of doing things.

Would you have been any better off if it asked for the password first?

Would have been better if it had said what the update was for and the password would need to be entered again on completion of the update.
Like I said, no logic to it.

Yep, got the email at 10.17 this morning. Used the link to log in and set the parental controls. Not sure what isn't logical.
What isn't logical is that if you are unaware of the update until you open the app. It tells you there is an update without explaining what the update is for. It gives the option of update or carry on without the update.

Well dick, all the others on here appear to be the account holders, I am not, sorry if that is too much for your brain to work out.
Logic (I know you're a fan of logic) says that the parental controls should be set by the account holder. As you aren't the account holder, it's a little illogical to complain about the difficulties you had setting it up.

The logical thing would be to update the app and then set the new channel to a parental control by default. Then use the password to remove it. Not update the app and lock out all access which was previously available until the password is entered.
